Hi, I'm Andrea Graham, an award-winning fine art photographer based in Lincolnshire, UK.

I've always felt a strong connection to the natural world, and photography has given me a way of exploring that connection. I'm happiest outside with a camera, watching the landscape change as the light moves, the seasons shift and familiar places reveal something unexpected.

Living in Lincolnshire has also shaped the way I see the landscape. There is beauty in the wide skies, open fields, woodland, water and changing seasons around me, and I've learned not to overlook places simply because they seem familiar or ordinary. Some of my favourite photographs have come from moments when I've stopped to really look at somewhere I've passed many times before.

Photography has taught me to slow down and pay attention.

Seeing The Landscape Differently

My approach to photography has evolved over time. Although I still enjoy making more traditional landscape photographs, I've increasingly found myself drawn towards a more expressive way of working.

Intentional camera movement and multiple exposure have become an important part of my creative process. They allow me to step away from simply describing a scene and instead experiment with shape, colour, light and movement.

I never quite know what an image will become when I begin. I work intuitively, responding to what is in front of me and allowing the camera to become part of the creative process.

The result is often somewhere between photography and painting - recognisable landscapes transformed into something more open to interpretation.

Inspired by Light and Atmosphere

I'm particularly inspired by the Impressionists and their fascination with light, colour and atmosphere. Their work reminds me that a landscape doesn't have to be represented exactly as the eye sees it to convey something truthful about a place. Sometimes a suggestion of a landscape can say more than every detail. That's something I try to explore in my own work.

I'm drawn to fleeting moments - the kind that might last only a few minutes before the light changes and they're gone. Being there to witness those moments is one of the things I love most about landscape photography.
